Mapleton Fun

Josh loves blazing his own trail straight up any mountain near by.  Living in right next to Mapleton Mountain has been perfect for satisfying his hiking cravings and for taking some pretty stellar pictures!  -K

It's never to cold to do some hiking near our house. -K

We love our ward because of the amazing people we get to rub shoulders with.  I was put into the Young Womens shortly after we moved into our apartment.  Savannah is one of my mia maids and we love making cookies together.  She is so fun and for some reason likes hanging out with Josh and I despite the age difference :)  We have so much fun together.  -K

This is me getting up in the morning at 5:50 am to run with a group of women in our neighborhood.  Erin Gren and I have a hard time keeping up with the other 13 ladies but we have fun anyway. -K

We love the wildlife we get to see living so close to the mountains.  This spring we saw lots of cute little baby dear roaming around the neighborhood.  This one took a nap under a tree right by our bedroom window. -K

We go to a campsite just  few minutes from our house as much as we can while its warm out.  Our cute little tent has been worth the money...it's perfect for the two of us. -K

Mapleton Park is walking distance from our house and we love enjoying a lazy evening under a giant tree.

One of my favorite things about Katie is her love for the outdoors. Every time we get out of the house to explore all the spectacular places in our own back yard. Utah is seriously one of the most beautiful places, and Mapleton is up at the top of our list of potential places to raise our family long term.

Katie has a pet turtle named Mr. Hobbs who has been her constant 1st grade classroom companion for about 4-5 yrs now, and today Jacob and I made a little house for Mr. Hobbs. Jacob is the best brother any brother could ever ask for, and it was so endearing to see how something so little could made my Kate so happy! I love how much joy she finds in the seemingly smallest things in life. 

As a side note, Jacob is really transforming the storage garage into a very nice workshop for his tools and welding projects!

Miller Family Lake Powell Trip- 2013

The mother ship, "Seaclusion", docked at our campsite for this summer's Miller family reunion at Powell! It was the perfect site!

This year's newest and most loved Powell toy... the big blue floating water wrestling pad.  Lots of "king of the mat" wrestling matches were had, and even more laughs at how hard it was for everyone to stay up on their feet. :)

My first time hiking up "Hole in the Rock". Completely boggles my brains that the pioneers came down this pass with wagons. - JW
